Happy Birthday Swetha

Its been surprises all the way for Swetha since day she married me. Now before you jump for conclusions, these are all pleasant surprises. This time was about her birthday. Swetha's birthday was on 18th January which was Monday, so I thought we will celebrate on 17th so that we can have enough time in partying.

I and Surya planned things in such a way that Swetha had no clue about what was going on. We all were behaving as if we forgot about her birthday. We had sumptous biryani prepared by Rakesh at 230J. Then we went to see yet a disaster movie of NTR, Adhurs. It was already 9.30 by the time movie was completed and still Swetha was waiting for a sign from me and friends so that some one would say it out. But everything was taken care so well that everyone acted well.

Meanwhile Surya booked a table at Sapphire in Jewel box which had a greate view from the top of Mt. Faber. We took a taxi from the theater pretending that the Nagaraj was giving a party for his promotion. We went to the restaurant, had nice food, drinks and we enjoyed the cool breeze and view at the top. It was around 11.30PM when we decided to leave, its then that the steward got the cake (brought by Santosh) from behind and kept it before Swetha. The expression on Swetha's face the next moment was priceless.

She was very happy the way I have organized the whole thing. Since then everyone is asking what gift I have given to Swetha and I have been replying the same, "I have given her sweet memories to cherish".

Happy Birthday Mahesh

This weekend was all about movies again. We have watched 10 movies:
Rudy
The Express
16 Blocks
Homam
Oyi
Vijayendra Varma
Heat
Sword Fish
and 2 more which I am not remembering right now.

Other than that we had nice chicken curry with biryani at home. Also had some martinis and wine.
As Monday is Mahesh's birthday, Sunday night we brought a Tiramisu cake and troubled him with birthday bumps.

Overall it was a great weekend.

Santosh Happy Birthday

It was Santosh's birthday on Thursday (13/8). We all roomies went to Mango Tree restaurant in ECP for the party. We had a great time having lots of food and drinks and trying to bring the bill to at least 500 dollars. Place was very good as there was a sea view along the beach side.

We had 6 beers each and had many rounds of snacks. We didn't really have much food. We did not really cut the cake the night before, so we bought a small cake in the coffee bean coffee shop and made Santosh cut the cake. This time we missed or I can say we forgot to give birthday bumps to Santosh. We walked for a while in the beach and then left home.

Weekend Tidbits

This is how my weekend flew away ...

Friday:

I and Swetha went for New York Movie. Nothing was good about the movie. Even Katrina was not beautifully shown. We came home and ordered from McDonald s at 12.30 which came at 1.30 early in the morning. We ate burgers and then slept at around 2.30AM.

Saturday:

We woke up very late. Prepared some curry and rice and had lunch. Later Swetha started preparing Gajar Halwa at around 3PM and successfully completed by 7PM. Meanwhile Surya came home and we together had dinner watching Tholi Prema movie. After dinner, I and Swetha went out for a walk with Surya dropped him at his place and watched Vinayakudu movie and came back late in the night. Today I spoke with Kishore for 2 hours and also with Dolly who was going to France for an hour.

Sunday:

Today it was no different to Saturday. We woke up late in the morning. By the team we even thought of cooking food, Santosh called us and invited for lunch at their place. We went there had our lunch and saw X-Men Wolverine and Identity movies. Later in the evening, I, Swetha and Srini went for a walk and had some masala tea. From there we just did some window shopping in Tampines Mall, Century Square and Tampines One mall. We went to KFC had some snacks and went to 230J. Meanwhile background we were planning Srini's birthday celebration for which Surya had given a wonderful idea, right from cake till the gift.

At 12 in the midnight we woke up Srini and made him cut the cake. Happy Birthday Srini.

We enjoyed the cake came back home at that time and slept cursing the Monday.

Surya's Happy Birth Day

I am just back from the party which Surya gave on occasion of his 27th birthday. Actually his birthday is June 1st, but then as it is a working day we roomies planned to have the fun today. We had a great time at the Indo Chine Lounge at Wisma Aitra at Orchard Road. Place was very good and happening. There was a live band playing for more than 2 hours when we were there. The singers were awesome and were funny. They also encouraged the people in the lounge to come and sing.

We had 8 or 9 rounds of drink each and were still wanting more. As it was about to hit the midnight we wanted to rush home for the cake cutting. We had a burger at McDonalds and took a taxi back home. At 12 Surya did the proceedings of cutting the cake and I took the honour of giving the birthday bumps :-)

Overall it was fun filled evening and looking forward for June 29th which is Srinivas's birthday.

Happy Birthday to Me

Last year I had the worst birthday ever in my life. It was my first birthday in Singapore and was very very boring. First reason was many of my friends here did not know about my birthday. Secondly I had to force people to come out for dinner as I never wanted to spend the day sitting idle at home.

This year many of my friends here knew about my birthday. But yesterday night till 11.45 I saw my roommates sleeping or sitting idle with out any plans of celebrating my birthday. I knew they would some how wish me but never expected any thing else. But sharp at 12 Santosh came in wished me and took me into the hall. There what I see is a beautiful yummy cake staring at me. I felt really good because I have never expected a cake from my roomies. After the cake I started getting calls for wishing me and it went on till 2 in the night.








Anyways today we will plan and go out for dinner and have some good time. Happy Birthday to Me

Yesterday date has some specialty if we see it properly. Its 20082008. Good to see such dates. The day is more special for me because its my brother's birthday. Many happy returns Bro.

What a special day is this day. There are many reasons why I feel this is a great day. The most important of these is the Beijing Olympics 2008. I am right now watching the opening ceremony and thats something which nobody should miss. For me this is one of the best ever opening ceremony I have ever seen. Second reason being my best friends birthday. Third being the deciding match between India and Sri Lanka. Forth being Kevin Peterson becoming captain of England. Last but not the least release of the Katrina's movie Singh is Kinng.
